The Sport Business program provides students with a solid foundation in business integrated into a dynamic sports curriculum. The core business courses provide the basis for students to progress to a collection of Sport Business courses that emphasize the diverse high-paced nature of the industry.
The coursework in the Sport Business major provides students a wide range of sports classes in promotion, technology, finance, and management. The degree is capped off with a senior seminar class where students work with a designated client on a real-world project.
Jacksonville University’s location in northeast Florida offers students a strong symbiotic link to practical experience opportunities with professional sports teams, leagues, and organizations. Current opportunities include anything from auto racing and golf to football and tennis.

Students earning the BBA in Sports Business will be prepared to enter the diverse industry at a variety of levels including community, scholastic, collegiate, and professional positions. Opportunities in the Sports Business profession range from marketing, finance, and management to sponsorship, public relations or communications. Competition for jobs in the sports industry is fierce so internships and furthering one’s education with a specialization or Master’s Degree are highly recommended. Jobs in sports management can be found nationally. High profile, major league jobs, however, will come to those willing to work hard and put in the time to advance.
